Cast Iron Repairs

We have extensive experience repairing damaged cast iron and other alloys using the Metalock and Lock N Stitch processes. Currently we use the Lock N Stitch system, a proprietary, patented, mechanical “metal stitching” process which permanently repairs a crack or blow-out hole without welding. The cracked metal is repaired with special metal stitching pins, creating a strong pressure-tight repair.

This repair process is particularly suited to the marine engine environment, and we have successfully carried out many Lock N Stitch repairs on large ship engines, manifolds, winches, and separators. We have also repaired many automotive blocks, heads, industrial gears and machines, pressure vessels, tractors, trucks, trains, and even a 180-year-old fire station bell.
